Hochschule Ludwigsburg meets the RC Budapest

The Andrássy Gyula German Language University Budapest (AUB) welcomed a group of students from Ludwigsburg University of Applied Sciences under the supervision of Professor Raviol on 1 February. Professor Raviol gave a talk about scholarship and work experience options in Germany. Noémi Kovacs, Marketing and PR expert at the AUB and Chairperson of the Regional Chapter Budapest, presented the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM. The participants at the meeting were told about the Landesstiftung and the scholarship options in the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM and had an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the alumni network of the scholarship program, particularly the Regional Chapter Budapest.

Besides the general intention behind the regional chapters at home and abroad, Noémi Kovacs also spoke about the goals and tasks of the Budapest Chapter. As a framework for friendships and by creating opportunities for current and former scholarship holders to meet, it is an excellent contact point for any scholarship holders coming to Budapest, e.g. to study at the AUB, or any Hungarian students going to Baden-Württemberg to study who have questions on study and everyday life in a yet unfamiliar country. Besides the regular monthly meetings, the Regional Chapter Budapest has various other activities planned for the coming months. These include, for example, a trip to the theatre, a picnic and an excursion to Pécs, one of the three European Capitals of Culture 2010. Professor Raviol ended with a report on the Walter Hallstein Program of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM and took questions from participants. After the official session had ended, the participants brought proceedings to a close with a convivial evening at the Szimpla bar.

Noémi Kovacs would be pleased to answer any questions you may have about the Regional Chapter Budapest. She can be reached at rc-budapest@bw-stipendium.de.
