A scholarship. A whole life long.

Since 2001 the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung has supported the international exchange of students and young vocationally qualified people by awarding the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM. You are all part of a living network. Because the award of the scholarship is the start of an active relationship of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung with its alumni, a whole life long, if they so wish.

You will find the various programmes in Overview.

How does this work?

With the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung enables both young people from Baden-Württemberg to spend some time abroad and invites foreign scholarship holders to get to know Baden-Württemberg. For this purpose they receive a scholarship amounting to up to EUR 1,200 per month for a maximum of eleven months. When their placement is confirmed and in particular after their return from their time abroad, the scholarship holders are supported ideally and integrated into a comprehensive international network in which people from the widest range of disciplines and cultures can contact each other. In the Regional Chapters, via the exclusive online portal BWS-World and at numerous networking events in Baden-Württemberg and beyond, the scholarship holders can network with each other and further enhance their professional and personal skills. In this way the scholarship holders help shape the "Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM" network themselves and profit both professionally and personally from the diversity of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM.
