PROGRAM FOR VOCTIONALLY QUALIFIED PEOPLE

Target Group:
Vocationally qualified people who have completed a recognized program of vocational training (e.g. an apprenticeship, a degree in a skilled-based area or a similar non-academic qualification)

Requirements:
Above-avarage achievements documented in grades and references  

Support Period:
Practical placements: 2-6 months
College-based training: 2-11 months

Benefits:
Monthly scholarship of € 800 - 900 to cover travel and living costs
If required: coverage of language course up to € 500

Application deadline:
Application possible all year round; due days are always the last day of each quarter. 
Remaining due days are: March 30, June 30, September 30, and December 31

Target Group:
Secondary-school students age 15-18

Requirements:
Residency in Baden-Württemberg; attendance of year 10 or general secondary school certificate at time of application; average or good school performance

Support Period:
1 school year

Benefits:
Travel costs, attendance of a secondary school, support of students and host families, insurance package (basic health-, accident-, insolvency insurance), preparation-, orientation- and follow-up seminars

Application deadline for 2009:
December 15, 2008

Additional Information:
Study abroad possible in 10 countries, focus on Eastern europe

Europe Path 1

Target Group:
Students of Europe-related post-graduate programs in Baden-
Württemberg

Support Period:
Maximum of 2 semesters (6 months each)

Benefits:
€ 400 – 1200 / month, depending on qualifications

Europe Path 2

Target Group:
University students and administration specialists from the reformed states in Central and Eastern Europe

Requirements:
Language proficiency at least 2nd examination Goethe-Institut (German as a Foreign Language), administration specialists: at least 2 years of professional experience

Support Period:
Usually 2 months

Benefits:
€ 1.000 – 1.200

Additional Information:
The program line supports Europe-related internships providing insights into administrative, legal and social structures of Baden-Württemberg and the European Union
