21.06.2010 News from California!
We first reported about him three months ago - Alexander Klauser, 27 years old, master craftsman. Alexander couldn't believe it when he was granted a scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung and left for California to do 6 months' work experience with JBI, an interior design company. Now we have news from California...

Alexander at work.
The Baden-Württemberg scholarship holder has now been in California for around three months. He's over the initial stressful period of getting used to a new company, looking for the right accommodation and taking care of various official formalities and feels really good about the situation now.
Alexander is taking night classes in English and Spanish as "you have to be able to communicate somehow" and is also doing really well at work. He is hoping to restructure and improve quality and work processes at the company and is receiving the full support of the company in this!
But Alexander isn't missing out on leisure time either - he is sharing a three-bedroom flat so there's always something going on! And he's also a regular at the gym!
So the few issues during the settling-in period are almost completely forgotten already. Alexander is concentrating on the here and now, enjoying life and looking forward to the summer, which should be "awesome"!
