General information on the annual meeting 2005

More than 800 scholarship holders, alumni and friends of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM program came to the Heidelberg City Hall on July 22, 2005 for the annual reception with the Minister President. As the Minister President was unable to attend due to other commitments, State Minister Willi Stächele MdL welcomed the guests in his place.

Under the motto of “5 Years Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM – a World of Achievements and Contrasts”, the scholarship holders Stefan Seiler, Katharina Uhde, Ozel Reid and Daniel Soudry provided outstanding contributions on the stage.
Intellectual wit, outstanding musical performances, creativity and entertainment – that would be the best way to describe their contributions in brief.

The Egyptian scholarship holder, Haytham Abd el-Salam, also demonstrated “contrasts” . In his graduation collection for the Fashion Design course at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences, he combined traditionally woven jacquard fabrics with high-tech materials from Baden-Württemberg. This unusual combination is extremely comfortable to wear: Ines Martinez, the presenter of the event, wore the designs throughout the program.
