Program Line for Film Production
For several years, students at the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy have been offered the opportunity – armed with a Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM scholarship – to visit the cinema city of Los Angeles and the hotspots of film production in Hollywood. The scholarship holders can spend up to nine weeks in Los Angeles, consisting of teaching and an internship.
The aim of this workshop is to familiarise a group of selected and highly qualified students from the fields of direction, screenplay, camera, editing/montage and production with the working methods of American studios. The focus is on material development, project development, packaging, production and marketing. The curriculum is developed by the renowned American film university, UCLA Extension. The teaching staff come from studios, production firms, TV broadcasters and from UCLA. After a three-week teaching phase, the students can deepen their learning in further four- to six-week internships in film and TV companies in Los Angeles.
