Tips on Searching for an Internship
The most comprehensive and simplest way to search for sponsorship opportunities is certainly to use the internet. Take a look at internship exchanges such as prabo.de and jobpilot.de, which are available in many countries, by the way.
Or listen to what your friends and acquaintances have to say. Sometimes vocational schools and technician/master colleges (Techniker-/Meisterschulen) also maintain contacts to companies or institutions for further education abroad.
The Baden-Württembergischer Handwerkstag e.V. (Baden-Württemberg Trade Council) will also support you as far as possible in the search. You can contact this organisation here.
Not all companies advertise their internships on the internet. Look in the Yellow Pages. Enter the term "Yellow Pages" in a search engine together with the required country. In this way you can address small companies and craftsmen's businesses both specifically and proactively.
Also ask at your local Chamber of Crafts or Chamber of Industry and Commerce whether contacts exist to companies abroad. Or go straight to the homepage of the Deutsche Außenhandelskammern.
We have also compiled a list of job search engines in popular countries for you which you can download here.
If you are looking for further education opportunities in another European country, it is worth looking at the German Federal Employment Office's website. Here you will find a list of further education opportunities listed according to countries.
