Scholarship holders who are currently located in one of the risk areas designated by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) or whose scholarship stay in one of these areas is imminent are asked to consult the continuously updated information provided by the authorities, in particular that of the RKI and the respective travel advice of the Federal Foreign Office. The authorities are in constant exchange and continuously evaluate current developments. The RKI regularly updates the list of risk areas. Further information can be found here.

The Baden-Württemberg Stiftung currently generally advises against travel to the risk areas designated by the RKI. We also leave it up to our scholarship holders to return to Germany from the countries concerned. Students are requested to get in touch with their contact persons at the International Office of their Baden-Württemberg university. Scholarship holders of the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM for Vocationally Qualified People please contact us directly via beruf (at)

Some states have imposed entry bans or special controls on certain groups of people or flights from certain regions. In many cases, this also affects travelers from Germany. In some countries, entry is no longer possible or is subject to a 14-day quarantine. For this reason, please contact the relevant authorities, embassies or consulates of your host country for information on possible entry restrictions and quarantine regulations before you start your travel. Travelers should also consult the travel and security advice of the German Foreign Office. Further information can be found on the website of the Federal Foreign Office.
