BWS Film production

“Lights, camera, action” for the Baden-Württemberg-STIPENDIUM for film production. As a student at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, you can apply for a scholarship that will take you to Los Angeles, the film capital of the world. Through intensive instructional units, workshops, and internships, you will gain insight into the world of Hollywood, and learn about how major studios work, from developing material and production to marketing a film. 

During the third year of your studies, you can apply jointly as a six-person team for the “Fiction Alexa” programme: You will spend around three months working with the support of cooperating French film school la fémis in Paris to produce a roughly fifteen minute professional short film – a better recommendation letter would be tough to find!

APPLICATION

Only outstanding students at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, located in Ludwigsburg, can apply for a Baden-Württemberg scholarship for film production. A selection commission will decide which applicants can take part in the Hollywood workshop or the “Fiction 35” workshop. Please ask the Film Academy for internal university application deadlines.
